All that Jazz

It's almost a year that I posted one of my last sewing projects.
A lot did happen since then. I moved houses, sold my beloved straight stitcher and sold almost all of my fabrics and notions. After that I didn't even look at fabrics and patterns for over 3 month and the sewing machines were still where I left them after moving in.
So in short, a lot is changed.
But after exhaustion follows recuperation and now new plans will be made.
I probably have enough fabric left and new ideas for 9 or 10 new projects, so by and by I'll post them here in an honest effort to really want to finish and not only look at them.

Said that much, I have 2 projects cut out already since August last year. I'll better start there!

Project 19 - Burda 02/07 -123 dress

This is a girly, girly dress. I don't own one at the moment so I thought this would be a nice idea. The fabric is viscose, black with tan/beige dots. For the collar and the pockets I'll use the peachskin which is the same tan/beige colour as the dots.
Both fabric I bought together off the Artisan's Square Market for really little money, since there are I think 4 yards of the viscose (narrow width) and just a piece of the peachskin.

Project 18 - Burda 06/05 -131 jacket

I had set my eye on this jacket since last year and then I came across this dark olive (colour is much darker and flatter) fake nappa leather. I will omit the pocket openings since I never use them anyway and I really don't like them in the first place anyway.

This is one Issey Miyake I would love to own. Now and then I check ebay but up to now to no avail.

Oh... I like the back of this top...not so much for me but for DD.

Front would have to be changed, but the back it worth wishing for this pattern.

Project 17 - Burda 12/06 -111 A shirt

When I was moving my stuff, I found this georgeous tafetta. I completely forgot I still had it. Was a leftover of the Vogue Coat.

Project 16 - Vogue 7693 Dress

What a gorgeous fabric! Pure Cotton... really looking forward working with it, but I think it'll have to wait until the spring.

Project 15 - Burda Dress 106A - 11/2006

Really like the empire style line, especially with this see-through overlay.

Found the ideal fabric in my stash, unfortunately not enough, so I have to improvise.
Green (two greene tones, that is!) peachskin and chiffon as overlay.
The chiffon I have 16! years in my stash.

Project 14 - Burda Dress 110 - 11/2006

To take a photo of the this poly-velvet-fabric I got for the dress was quite a challenge. There are two variations, but I think the lower pic comes more closely to the actual colour. There is quite a bit green in there, depending on the angle you're looking at. You'll see it a bit better on the backside of the fabric.

Project 13 - Special Project for "Paris goes Aachen 2007" DROPPED

I don't know the fabric and trimmings yet, but I would love to try this one!
